In Rick Ross' newest song featuring usher "Lemme See", Ross may have used a line that turned many heads and caused emotional harm to a lot of people. The line stated "I had to valet park it/ Chanel hoodie on/ Looking like Trayvon Martin/ George Zimmerman when I'm on it/
I feel that the statement was being used to explain Ross' apparel and explain how his swagg is killing, that's why he used the metaphor George Zimmerman when I'm on it. Although Ross's meaning for the line was one way, many people interpreted it another way. I feel that if I was the parents of Trayvon Martin I would be very upset and furious. I say this because it hasn't even been a year since the death and the family is still grieving. Knowing this, why would you use their son's name in vain. It would be different if the lyrics were used to uplift Trayvon's image, and his family, but he didn't. Therefore, I feel like those lyrics could have been left unsaid.
